Summer (June – August): When it comes to weather, the perfect time to visit Gothenburg is during the summer season. This is the city’s peak season, and every traveller flocks here. Temperatures are warm and days are pleasantly sunny. You can expect to find accommodation filled to the brim, book early to avoid being disappointed. Bus, trams and boats: a three-day ticket enables you to use these transportation facilities. Tickets can be purchased at the nearest 7 Eleven Kiosk or Tourist Centre.
Bicycles: There are over 50 bike rental stations around the city, and you can pick up or leave your bike at any one of them. The first 30-minutes of renting is always free; afterwards tariffs start to be implemented.
Taxi: Either call or book your taxi, hail one on the street, or board one which is waiting at designated taxi stops around the city.
Car: All parking metres and street parking have a label with the word ‘TAXA’ followed by a letter or number. There is a schedule available from the Tourist Centre which indicates the allocated free time, daily. Of course car hiring facilities are also available from the airport once you’ve landed.
